I’m thrilled to share that one of my favorite projects from the summer of 2023 has officially been published in Munaluchi Bride! This Alice in Wonderland-themed wedding editorial held at Winbrooke in Tyringham, MA was more than just a shoot for me; it was a celebration of creativity, community and diversity.
When I first dreamed up this editorial, I wanted to create something that bridged cultural gaps and included lead characters from all walks of life. In a world that can often feel so divided, the idea of a whimsical Wonderland where love knows no boundaries really struck a chord with me. I envisioned a vibrant tapestry of stories, traditions, and beauty that anyone could see themselves in, especially on a wedding day.
Working alongside a dear friend of mine, Taylor from Taylored & Thyme we worked tirelessly with our team of vendors to create this magical world. Every detail, from the decor to the fashion, was carefully curated to tell this unique story. It was important to me that couples could embrace their unique heritage and feel represented in a magical setting.
What truly made this shoot special was how it became a turning point for many artists involved, especially that of Dani Simone Couture. When we started working together, Dani was shy and a bit uncertain. But as we continued to collaborate and I encouraged her to dive into her designs, I saw her transform. It was incredible to witness her journey and to see her blossom. When we finally got published in Munaluchi Bride last month, it felt like a dream come true. Dani's designs were celebrated, and suddenly, her voice was amplified in a space that truly values creativity and multiculturalism. It was such a joy to see her gain newfound confidence and embrace her talent.
Helping Dani realize her potential has had a profound effect on me. Watching her grow from a somewhat nervous, unassuming creative to someone who now truly believes in her work is inspiring. It's reinforced my belief in the power of community and collaboration.
Working with such a talented team made me appreciate how each of us brings something unique to the table. This editorial became a mosaic of creativity, and seeing everyone thrive in their roles was incredibly fulfilling. It reminded me that inclusivity in the creative process is essential—every voice matters. I grew so much throughout the process and learned more about myself, how I can be a part of the bigger voice for change in an otherwise exclusive industry.
As I reflect on this journey, I feel so grateful for the connections made and the story that was shared. This editorial isn't just a feature in a magazine; it’s a testament to what can happen when we all support each other’s dreams. I hope this project inspires others to embrace their individuality, to take bold steps toward their passions. When we lift each other up, we too rise - and we create a brighter, more inclusive future for all artists.
Wonderland is no longer a fantasy—it’s a reminder of the beauty that arises when we dare to dream and create with one another. Thank you to everyone who helped inspire by joining me on this magical journey!
